This week’s FFF is actually 11 women! Virginie Chenier, Emily Breitkopf, Lina Sederavicius, Ashlee Tanner, Stephanie Barrett, Elissa Foley, Ana Loza, Mareissa Pinto, Sara Teskey, Susan Kutertan, & Tania Edwards were all nominated to be Friday’s Featured Female by Lauren Duenas.
These eleven women are all recurve target archers in Canada. They recently participated with Lauren in Team Canada’s selection camp, which I’m pretty sure every archer can agree on, is never an easy or stress free event.
In Lauren’s words, “This is a joint nomination for the 11 other women who just completed Archery Canada’s Women’s Team Selection Camp with me for the PanAm Championships qualification tournament happening in Chile this April.
These women are some of the most dedicated I know. Ranging in age from their teens to their 50s, some are students and some work full time, some are mothers (and grandmothers!) and some haven’t even graduated high school yet, some have been shooting for only a few years and others for over a decade, but they all have the same dream – to compete for Team Canada on the international stage.
Shout out to all of these amazing women who are committed to their goal to be the best that they can be! “
I know slightly less than half of these women personally, but I do know Lauren and anyone she recommends is A+ in my book 😉 If you DO know these women, please give them a high five for me! If you don’t, join me in lifting them up on social media. Let them know that we applaud them and their efforts to be the best archer they can be, regardless of what else they are juggling in life!
