Cassidy Cox

This week’s Friday’s Featured Female is a little different. For starters its a day late (apologies, technical difficulties). Instead of a full write up, Cassidy was nominated for a quick shout out.

For those not aware of the situation, last week Cassidy flew straight from the Berlin World Cup to Italy for the World University Games (think Olympics for college sports). She arrive more than 48hrs prior to qualification, yet her bow did not make it to her in time. Also, because of some logistic issues and misinformation, she remained at the hotel waiting on her bow, meaning she wasn’t able to find a bow and other equipment to borrow. She showed up the morning of qualification with nothing, and with a 25″ dl and left handed it was almost impossible to find a bow she could use. And that’s when Cassidy showed what a courageous person she is. She took a right handed bow and shot it left handed for what remained of qualification, shooting a 336, coming in 23rd for the second half!

This Friday’s featured female is: Cassidy Cox

This week’s Friday’s Featured Female is a little different. For starters its a day late (apologies, technical difficulties). And instead of a full write up, Cassidy was nominated for a specific even that happened last week, so this will be a quick shout out.

And that’s when Cassidy took matters into her own hands and showed why she is deserving of the FFF honors! She took a right handed bow and shot it left handed for what remained of qualification. Not only did she score points, she shot a 336 in the wind, coming in 23rd for the second half!

Ohhh, and did I mention, the tournament organizers managed to lose her passport during all of this! Talk about staying calm under pressure and doing what needs to be done, Cassidy is definitely deserving of the Friday’s Featured Female this week! Join me in giving her props for overcoming all the odds stacked against her!
